The Bourne Education Trust ICT Managed Service offers schools and academies more than the traditional ICT ‘break and fix’ service. It is designed to provide a one-stop shop to manage your ICT infrastructure proactively, minimising downtime and disruption to the school day by identifying potential faults before they happen. Our team has a wide range of technical expertise to ensure a consistent level of service at all times. We use relationships with Tier 1 manufacturers, such as Dell or HP, to ensure any new equipment you purchase provides quality and reliability at the most competitive price.

Broadband
We have invested heavily in a central cloud infrastructure located in a datacentre in Surrey. This allows us to provide our own broadband solution to all our schools, essentially becoming a service provider. Our aim is to make the most of collaboration of resources and benefit from economies of scale.

The vision for designing our own solution means the Trust has total cost of ownership where its schools are not completely dependent on external parties.  This bespoke approach allows us to deliver enterprise-level technology to the Trust.

ICT Technical Support
Our ICT service helps schools and academies to maintain their ICT environment, enabling school staff to concentrate on their core responsibilities by minimising computer downtime and providing a reliable service to enhance the learning environment. We also offer consultancy in strategic planning of ICT innovation, designing ICT solutions that offer equal opportunities for learners to access modern ICT systems; consistency of learning opportunity enabling improved attainment; economies of scale and reduced total cost of ownership; easier access to management information and compliance with current functional and technical specifications.

Server Management
We take our responsibilities very seriously when it comes to ensuring your network infrastructure performance and stability 24/7 365 days a year. Whether you have physical or virtual servers we can manage your systems, shape or size. We will perform SIMS upgrades for you either in or out of hours to minimise the downtime.

Network Design & Implementation
We are experiencing a high demand from schools to share applications and functionality over their networks. Our in-house technicians have the skills to bring this service to you when you need it most, at a cost that suits you.

Network & Internet Security
Knowing the security of your network and internet is a major part of our service. Our clients benefit massively from our years of experience and careful practice in making the best use of the standard and advanced security features on the market today.

Consultancy
For any school that relies on IT, dependability and performance is a priority. Our in-house consultants can work with you having as much or as little involvement as you wish. Helpdesk Support
We provide all our customers with access to our online Help Desk with the ability to log requests via email; this allows you to submit your issues quickly and effectively. We prioritise our Help Desk so that we work on solving and fixing the issues before the required deadline.

Backup & Disaster Recovery
Having a backup and disaster recovery plan in place is a must have for every school and business. Without one you could be at risk of losing all your network data. Soon we will be providing an online backup service and provide you with a daily, reliable and effective solution to meet your business needs.
